Angel's Egg (40th Anniversary)

A mysterious girl wanders through a deserted city, carefully cradling a giant egg. The surroundings are quiet and mysterious, as if time has stood still. Along the way, she meets a boy with a massive weapon who is searching for the bird he saw in his dream. Together they wander through a magical world that remains unfathomable.

Angel's Egg is a legendary anime from 1985, premiering in Dutch cinemas. The film, fully restored in 4K, was directed by Mamuro Osh.ii, who later directed Ghost in the Shell (1995), among other films.
