Film education, or learning about visual language in the broadest sense of the word, is more important than ever. Society is saturated with images (films, social media, clips, signage, games, etc.). We are inundated with them from an early age. Many schools recognize this, and media is increasingly being used in lessons. Through film education, we want to teach children and young people to look more critically and give meaning to what they see, create, and explore.
Film education
Film in schools
Film can be used in education in all sorts of ways. For example, students actively learn how film can be used as a tool for reporting, presentation, research, or reflection. In doing so, they directly develop their skills (screenplay, directing, camera, editing, etc.).
With the extensive selection available, there is always a film that ties in with a subject or theme. In addition, students learn to develop their emotions and ideas.
