Cross-TIC

Cross-TIC is a regional project aimed at supporting and guiding the creators of the future in developing their artistic profile, audience vision, professional network, and business skills. Creators submit project plans for cross-media development trajectories via Open Calls, which are projects that transcend art disciplines and where they can develop themselves as creators. This can be based on research or production. A number of these trajectories are guided and facilitated by Concordia.

Cross-Tic -- Oyfo Hengelo-

All projects within Cross-TIC are of a cross-media nature and have a technologically innovative element. Think, for example, of developing an interactive installation that encourages children to reflect on their (online) identity, creating an AR plant shelter for problem plants, and producing a participatory auditory experience where visitors form their own sound landscapes through movement and interaction. During the trajectory, creators receive personal guidance and are connected with organizations and experts in the region to strengthen and anchor their network in the region as well as to develop their knowledge and skills.

The creator works on their trajectory for several months and then presents their process and findings during a Cross-TIC showcase, which takes place four times a year at one of our core partners: Bibliotheek Almelo & Theater Hof 88, Stichting Heerlijk Heimland, Oyfo, PLANETART, Schouwburg Hengelo, Theater Sonnevanck, Stichting Oldenzaalse Musea, Tetem, and Concordia (also the leading organization).

The projects of our creators have been presented in various places in Twente: from GOGBOT to Maker Festival Twente to the Heimland Festival. We also extend our reach: some projects are visible during the Dutch Design Week (Eindhoven) or Impakt Festival (Utrecht). Together with our core partners, we support the creative climate for the creators of the future.

Cross-TIC is supported by the province of Overijssel, the 14 municipalities that together form the Cultural Region Twente, and the core partners.
