A man wakes up in the middle of the night and hears his vacuum cleaner coughing. It's the beginning of a highly original and witty cinematic experience with romantic, absurdist, and political layers. After the death of his wife, March is inconsolable, until he hears a familiar voice during a visit to his mother's factory. Nat, his wife, has returned as a ghost, in the form of a vacuum cleaner. However, since the factory has long been plagued by vengeful poltergeists, his family does not support this unconventional love. Vacuum cleaner ghost Nat comes to the rescue and ensures that the factory can reopen. When she is asked by people higher up to also banish 'non-useful' ghosts, Nat becomes too caught up in the plans of the corrupt elite, putting her in direct opposition to March.
This impressive directorial debut won the Grand Prix in Cannes (Semaine de la Critique) and is Thailand's Oscar submission. Director Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke, a significant new voice in the Asian film industry, is compared to Yorgos Lanthimos and has cast superstar Davika Hoorne as Nat in the lead role.
