Bugonia

Two young men, Teddy and Don, are obsessed with conspiracy theories. When they become convinced of a dark secret, they take a drastic step: they kidnap the CEO (Emma Stone) of a major corporation. Their conviction? That this woman is actually an alien intent on destroying Earth. What follows is a delightfully absurd journey through paranoia, persistent beliefs, and perhaps even the truth.

With his signature dry humor and surreal imagery, director Yorgos Lanthimos (The Favourite, Poor Things) reveals the thin line between conviction and madness. Strikingly, he doesn't clearly take sides. Kidnapper Teddy is not only a fanatical, mad-driven terrorist, but also someone genuinely concerned about the world.
