Coward

As World War I continues, Pierre, a soldier who has just arrived at the front, wants to prove himself. Behind the lines, he meets Francis, who decides to uplift the morale of his comrades by putting on a theatrical performance. As the violence persists, both men try to find ways to escape, if only for a moment, the brutality of the war.

Coward is the new feature film by Flemish director Lukas Dhont (Girl, Close). The film premiered globally at the Cannes Film Festival, where both lead actors were awarded the Best Actor prize.
