Groups from Alifa reflect on themselves and on society through photography, video, textile works, drawings, and paintings.
Welfare organization Alifa and Concordia have been working together for some time to connect Alifa’s participants with art and culture. This autumn, an Encounter Group, a Youth Group, and a Girls’ Group from Alifa reflect on themselves and on society, creating artworks under the guidance of artists and art teachers. The exhibition presents their reflections in the form of photographs, videos, textile works, drawings, and paintings.
The exhibition is on view throughout November in Concordia’s Expo 3.
In addition to the exhibition, 'De Maand Van' features a wide range of other Alifa activities at Concordia, including a concert by the MusicMakesMe group, a themed film screening, and conversations about the power and impact of art and culture in the social domain. The Month of is a living testimony to this impact.
