    Thijs Ebbe Fokkens (1981, Netherlands)
Thijs sees art as a promise and uses combinations of drawings, photographs, models, installations, and conceptual frames to explore complexity. His work offers space for perception, experience, questioning, and reflection.

Thijs Ebbe Fokkens' installation for the Doublet exhibition series explores the influence of space on the way we see and process things. The work reflects on the role of mourning in transformation and the loss of a vision of the future.

    Silke Schönfeld
The cinematic work of Silke Schönfeld (1988, Germany) lies at the intersection of documentary and fiction, weaving personal stories through historical and social structures. Her films emphasize subtle social phenomena and structures that shape communities and do not offer a complete record of events.

Schönfeld's work for the exhibition series “Doublet” begins with the felling of a cherry tree and weaves an intimate dialogue about transgenerational trauma between mother and daughter. The presence of a film camera blurs the line between research and healing.
