The superrrkunstkids challenge you! The interactive exhibition “Draai het om” is all about nature and plastic.

How can we make the world even greener, and what can you make from waste? You will explore these questions amid the artworks and through various hands-on activities.

Every year, a team of child curators creates an exhibition at Concordia. They select the artworks, write the texts, and help the designer create a poster. They interview the artists and give guided tours of the exhibition.

This time, the United Nations' sustainable development goals are the starting point for the exhibition. Together with the superrrkunstkids and artists, we challenge visitors to think about their own contribution to a greener world. In the interactive exhibition, you will get to work with these sustainable goals, discover all about recycling and upcycling, and see how nature and plastic are important to artists.

    green world
The exhibition consists of two worlds: the green world and the plastic world. In the green world, Tymen Sliuzas created a soundscape to accompany Anuli Croon's large mural. The sounds and images surround you with a special fantasy forest. By making a costume with the shapes she paints, you become part of Anuli's work. You can also make mobiles with the same shapes in the forest and see which plants actually grow in the four different seasons. Did you know that the superrrkunstkids helped with the mural? They all made a shape, which Anuli used in her work. Can you discover which shapes in the mural are by the superrrkunstkids?

    plastic world
In the plastic world, you can make something beautiful out of plastic, just like artist Inbar Damhuis. Plastic is a useful material, but it is also very polluting. Just think of the plastic soup: all the plastic that is thrown away on the street ends up in the ocean, which is very bad for the environment. Instead of throwing it away, you can reuse it. Take a good look at Inbar's sculptures and get started on your own plastic artwork.

    sustainable development goals
The exhibition consists of two worlds: the green world and the plastic world. You can get to work among the artworks. Discover how you can turn trash into real treasure. Be inspired by nature and plastic, just like real artists do.
