Besides two expositions about film, we also have workshops and a reading about the theme film.
Muziek: RAVY
Greenhouse, throughout
Ravy was born from a love for danceability and the freedom that comes with it. Rhythms, grooves, and energetic melodies take center stage. Yoran Nieuwenhuis, the man behind the act, is a DJ and producer through and through.
More than 10 years ago, his journey began in his hometown of Enschede with an abandoned drum set and the discovery of his talent for rhythm and musical blends. This hobby grew into a place at ArtEZ for music production and his first label releases in 2026. He is well on his way to making a name for himself and leaving every dance floor exhausted.

Great Scott! Back to the future of filmmaking
Auditorium
20:30, 15 minutes.
At the end of the nineteenth century, the first films come into being: static, single-shot movies lasting no more than a few seconds. Audiences are baffled by this new technology, and in the following decades, cinema develops at a rapid pace. This lecture shows how film language is invented through montage—and how these principles continue to form the foundation of cinema today.
