  • Spanish hit about five minutes on everlasting repeat as a collapsing marriage turns into a horrible nightmare.

A marriage on the brink of collapse becomes very, very complicated when a rural getaway traps a couple inside the same endlessly repeated five minutes. Every reset creates new possibilities, fresh disasters, and increasingly idle attempts to understand the rules before time runs out – again.

In Five More Minutes, director Javier Ruiz Caldera turns a simple time-loop concept into a black comedy powered by repetition and wonderfully timed catastrophe. Written by and starring Berto Romero alongside Belén Cuesta and Javier Cámara, the film confines its characters to loops staged largely in five-minute sequence shots. The fun turns dark as injuries, suspicion, alcohol, and horrible decisions prevent a clean reset. Loved by audiences everywhere, this ingenious genre hit serves a hot mix of marital breakdown, existential panic and slapstick bravado without ever letting its clockwork premise become predictable.
