Fjord

A devout Romanian-Norwegian family moves to a village in a remote fjord, where they build a close bond with their neighbors. When their teenage daughter Elia shows up at school with bruises, the community questions the couple's traditional parenting.

Fjord is the first English-language film by Romanian top director Cristian Mungiu, starring Renate Reinsve (The Worst Person in the World) and Sebastian Stan (Captain America, The Apprentice). Mungiu won his second Palme d'Or in Cannes with Fjord, after also winning one with 4 Months, 3 Weeks, 2 Days.
