With 'Illusory Fabrics,' Benedetta Zamboni experiments with texture and graphic design by mimicking textures through printing.
An important source of inspiration are Renaissance paintings, where fabrics and garments were depicted with precision and detail. She aims to replicate this elegance, lightness, and complex details by playing on the boundary between material and illusion.
Benedetta Zamboni graduated from AKI ArtEZ in 2026. Some of her items can also be seen in the Concordia Shop, which is filled with sustainable fashion from October 6 to 11, 2026. Her work is also featured in the FÆES-›!T Fashion show on Thursday evening, October 8.
With FÆES-›!T, Overlap presents fashion culture annually with a hint of activism! For this Sustainable Fashion Art Experience in Enschede, surrounding Dutch Sustainable Fashion Week, Benedetta Zamboni has been invited to create a special piece for the 'Red Stairs Gallery.'
