  • Layla is an ode to queer joy, community, and self-expression.

Layla is an Arabic, non-binary drag artist who moves with flair on stage, but behind the glitter lies a deep yearning for true love and recognition. During their performance at a condescending corporate Pride event, Layla catches the attention of Max, a charming marketing manager with an apparently open mind.

What begins as a whirlwind romance full of passion and promise gradually transforms into something more complex. As Layla slowly begins to adapt their identity in order to hold onto Max's love, both are confronted with uncomfortable truths about desire, self-denial, and the cost of being seen (or not seen).
