Veneno, a young restless drifter, often visits roadside diners where he sleeps with truck drivers. He desperately needs a ride and persuades Muñeco, a tough, taciturn driver, to take him along on the long-distance transport through northern Mexico, a raw and dangerous macho world. As they travel together and an unexpected intimacy develops between them, shadows from Veneno's past resurface, putting both of their lives in danger.
