  • Warm, breezy absurdist and visually inventive family film

More than fifty years after the first Paddington book by author Michael Bond appeared, the quintessentially British bear finally gets his own film - a successful mix of live action and computer animation. And it turns out the film is really highly entertaining. The friendly but hopelessly clumsy bear (voiced by Ben Whishaw) travels from "darkest Peru" to London, where he is lovingly taken in by the Brown family. Meanwhile, he's being pursued by a cunning taxidermist (played by Kidman). Director and co-writer King finds exactly the right tone: warm, breezy absurdist and visually inventive.

The open-air film festival Movies at the Park is a collaboration between Concordia, Craft District Enschede, and Van Heekpark in Enschede. The films start around 9:15 PM, just after sunset.

The films are free to attend, but of course, bringing your own food and drinks is not allowed. The number of seats is limited, so be quick!
