Celebrate the dark on Saturday, October 24, during *Nacht van de Nacht* (Night of the Night)!
The goal of the ‘Nacht van de Nacht’ initiative is to make the Netherlands darker and more sustainable. All that unnecessary lighting causes light pollution and wastes energy.
We are certainly doing our part by keeping all the lights in the art space turned off for the day. But we also wondered: what *do* you see in the dark...? Is color still visible? Which parts of an artwork disappear, and which remain visible? Do you focus differently, or perhaps see entirely new things?
We’re going to find out together with you, led by Jet Broekstra. Come to the exhibition on Saturday after closing time and discover what you can still see!
Saturday, Oct 24, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM (sunset is at 6:00 PM), with Jet Broekstra.
About the organization:
Let the dark be dark and discover the beauty of the night during *Nacht van de Nacht*. *Nacht van de Nacht* is an annual event organized by the Nature and Environment Federations (*Natuur en Milieufederaties*). During the event, activities take place in the dark all across the country. Additionally, hundreds of companies and municipalities switch off the lights on their buildings and advertising displays. This year marks the 22nd edition of *Nacht van de Nacht*, featuring hundreds of wonderful activities.
