The Invite

The marriage of Angela (Olivia Wilde) and Joe (Seth Rogen) has been in a rut for a while and is characterized by neurotic bickering. Their eccentric upstairs neighbors, Hawk (Edward Norton) and Pina (Penélope Cruz), turn out to be particularly active at night, much to Joe's annoyance. When Angela invites them for dinner, Joe sees this as the perfect opportunity to confront them. What follows is an evening full of unexpected twists that none of them will forget anytime soon... 

Filmmaker and actress Olivia Wilde (Booksmart, Don’t Worry Darling) and screenwriters Will McCormack and Rashida Jones based this razor-sharp comedy on the Spanish film Sentimental, which has been remade in several countries. The Invite is a hilarious and poignant portrait of sex, relationships, and marriage, continuously keeping the viewer on their toes. The film received rave reviews during its world premiere at Sundance.
