  • Heart-wrenching film about how rescuers attempt to save six-year-old Palestinian Hind Rajab from Gaza.

January 29, 2024. The volunteers of the Red Crescent receive an emergency call. A six-year-old girl, Hind Rajab, is trapped in a car under fire in Gaza and is pleading for help. While the rescuers try to keep her on the phone, they do everything possible to get an ambulance to her. But without permission from the Israeli army, no vehicle can be admitted. They wait hours for a response, but in the end, all help arrives too late. Hind's voice remains as testimony.

With The Voice of Hind Rajab, the six-year-old Palestinian Hind Rajab gets her voice back. Director Kaouther Ben Hania reconstructs the shocking, true events surrounding her death through the original phone calls between Hind and the emergency services. The scenes in the emergency services control room have been reconstructed and staged based on eyewitness accounts and transcripts; the voices on the audio recordings are real. An urgent, confronting, and unique film experience.
