Wicker

In the quirky fable Wicker, a fisherwoman lives on the outskirts of a fishing village: single, stinky, and the target of ridicule. When she has had enough of her narrow-minded villagers, she orders from the local basket weaver, the ideal husband made of reeds. To her amazement, this special rattan man proves to be more sensitive and talented than she ever could have dreamed. What starts as an unlikely love story quickly unleashes outrage, jealousy, and complete chaos in the conservative village. 

Wicker is a delightful fable with a modern twist about love, desire, and the courage to go against the tide. Starring Olivia Colman (The Favourite, The Crown) in the lead role, alongside Alexander Skarsgård, Peter Dinklage, and Elizabeth Debicki.
